Hi Adam,
SMP into any type of scar tissue can be quite unpredictable, so we usually recommend trying a test patch first. Ideally a strip scar should be flat and white for SMP to work best. And while SMP is a great option for some strip scars, we sometimes will suggest a client seeks out other options, too, such as FUE into the scar. Hope this helps.
Cheers Erik,
Thank you for the response, this helps. My plan was to have FUT if i could cover the scar with SMP. Do you do many scars from FUT procedures?
Can you provide more details about your case, i.e., how many grafts you need, norwood level, family history of hair loss, etc.?
Probably a norwood 3 and looking at 2000 - 2500 grafts. I am looking into FUE however would get FUT if i could cover the scar with smp.
