Do i have to shave my head to have a hair transplant?

Do i have to shave my head to have a hair transplant? Or shave it really short? I really do not suit the shaved/short cut look :( 

Most surgeons offer unshaven.. Just makes the procedure a little harder.

I think your surgeon would not allow you to do so....

Not true.... Many surgeons offer unshaven procedures now.
