AdamJ87 SMP and FUE can and has been used successfully together.

We hope to bring some SMP results to the forum soon :)

Some SMP clinics do great work but some just look fake to me.

Been looking at quite a few SMP clinics recently and i have to say some look great, a great option if needed.

I will drop you a line this week.

Hi AdamJ87, if you would like to see some treatments that were done years ago then drop me an e-mail via our website brandwoodclinic.com and I can easily share them with you.

Hi AdamJ87, the forum will be publishing SMP results in the not to distant future.

I'm keen to see what results look like after a few years. I hope the forum signs a few SMP clinics up and we get to witness more results.

Hi Bodhi, It can depend on a number of factors not least of which are the quality of the treatment and whether the recipient pursues the correct after-care (avoiding sun burn, moisturising, etc).

Beyond that it is often a question of personal taste. We know of people who have one treatment and have yet to come back five years on. Others pop in every year but the majority make do with 3-4 years between refreshing the look or topping it up.

We firmly advocate that anyone looking for a hair loss solution - transplant or SMP - should do their research with real diligence.

It is a life-changing experience which could go either way.

I have seen some great SMP work from some clinics and is a great option for hair loss sufferers, but some work i have seen does not look natural at all to me.

We only opened in October, but our senior practitioners Simon Lane and Paul Clarke have been in the SMP business for a while. They are among the most experienced in the world.

I haven't looked around to find any other patients here as yet. If I understood how to post photos on this response I would do so!

Our aim is to enhance the reputation and standards in Scalp Micro Pigmentation.

Iv not heard of BRANDWOOD before Paul, any results or patients posting on here?

Check us out, we have undertaken a lot of SMP work together with old and new transplants. There's a lot of examples in our gallery.

We specialise in scar coverage and adding density for people with thinning hair or to complement transplantation, the combination is very effective.

How often does the patient need a top up with SMP?

Does SMP not smudge after a few years? Or would it does clear altogether if one decided not to carry on with future top ups?

A good treatment will NEVER smudge.

The pigment we use and the treatment we recommend will also be a permanent solution. Depending on how you look after it there will be minimal fading. I can't speak for other clinics and other treatments but our SMP is intended to be permanent.

It's very much dependent on the stage of baldness you're at, and the kind of look you want.

We offer a free, no-obligation consultation where you can ask as many questions as you like and see all of our work that's relevant.

We have a two year guarantee so that any remedial work can be carried out during that period. Top-ups are obviously at a preferential rate as you're part of our family once you've had the work carried out.

Paul

What is your cost and future top up cost?

If i couldnt have a HT i would go down the SMP route.

It depends on the level of hair loss you have experienced and the areas we have to cover.

At most it is low thousands.

It's a form of tattooing - slightly different process and over a more prolonged period to build up the effect/impression of hair follicles.

The artistic elements are similar in some respects.

SMP looks great for people who suit a shaved look, not sure how good it looks to improve thinning hair?

What about guys who overload on FUE in the donor, would smp cover the moth look?

SMP is very good in both instances. We have numerous examples on our website galleries - www.brandwoodclinic.com.

It is primarily suited to those who prefer the 'shaven' look but we have added the appearance of density to many clients, including women with long hair.

SMP is a great choice for the shaved look, covering scars and thinning hair...with the correct clinic i may add.
