Age for a HT???????

Hi,

I'm a newbie on the forums and from Manchester in the UK. I have been losing my hair for around 8 years however i believe propecia has slowed it down. After turning 30 i started to research Hair Transplants, but there are soooo many Doctors out there and it seems like a minefield to choose from??? Also i hear that age is important when deciding on a procedure???

When researching i can understand your frustration at there being too many Doctors to choose from, however the good news is there are many great Doctors out there to choose from and the not so good news is, there are certainly Drs who perform sub-standard results. The key is research - research - research!

There are 2 great Doctors i know of who work in the UK and of course you are only a short journey from Belgium who have some of the best Doctors in the world performing Hair Transplants and would recommend you look at our very own Dr Mwamba for a consultation.

Regarding age, hairloss is unpredictable and nobody can guess what level of hairloss you will have, however the older you are, meds and a consultation with a recommended Doctor will of course highten your chances of success. Please browse our results page and Doctors to help give you an idea:)

I heard 25 and above but who is to say when hairloss will stop? Yet i see some of the great docs perform surgeries on clients below 25. 

I think at the age of 25 you can go for hair transplant surgery depending upon your hair condition ..
